So after a year and a half of remodeling work on the outside of the house (mostly replacing windows and doors) we are back to the interior and at the moment installing an L shaped (around the inside corner of a wall) bar. This is a fair amount of work since the top is made some planks (white oak I think -- but it was reclaimed wood so I can't be certain) that re 6-8 inches wide then assembled together with dowel and glue.
